We partner with organizations like the Lutheran Legacy Foundation, the Oregon Community Foundation, and the LCMS Foundation to provide flexible options — with LLF even offering matching contributions to help your gift grow.

A designated fund within The Trinity Foundation for ongoing support of school specific needs such as tuition assistance, teacher support, school programs, equipment or other academic purposes.
What are Undesignated and Designated Gifts that the Foundation Accepts?

Undesignated Gifts and Bequests:

  • Both the principal and income from Undesignated gifts and bequests to the Foundation are to be used for uses, projects, and programs which are consistent with the Statement of Purpose in the above section. Additionally, annually at the Voters Assembly, a list of approved uses, projects, and programs shall be distributed to the members of the congregation.

  • The Board of Directors shall, at least annually, approve distribution of the income and/or principal of Undesignated balances of the Foundation for uses, projects, and programs. 




Designated Gifts and bequests: 

  • Gifts and bequests may be given by a donor with special terms or conditions as to the use of the gift and/or of the income, providing that such gift or bequest is accompanied by a Designated Account Statement of Purpose and is consistent with the Statement of Purpose of The Trinity Foundation. The Board of Directors reserves the right to rule on the appropriateness of such designation.

  • Only gifts in excess of $100,000 in aggregate shall be eligible to create a new Designated Account. Gifts of any amount may be made to existing Designated Accounts
    Annually at the Voters Assembly, full disclosure of purpose, activity and balances of Designated Accounts shall be distributed to the members of the congregation.

 


The Trinity Foundation reserves the right to decline or at any time return any gift or bequest if it is deemed to not be consistent with values of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
